ABOUT ME
Terri Thomas is a battle-tested trial lawyer with more than 25 years of experience litigating complex commercial, construction, and real property disputes. She is a relentless advocate for businesses, financial institutions, owners, contractors, and homeowners’ associations in high-stakes matters in state and federal courts and in arbitration across Florida and Texas.
Ms. Thomas brings deep trial and appellate experience in business litigation, construction defect and delay claims, lender liability, creditors’ rights, insolvency, and financial services disputes. Her litigation strategy is informed by sophisticated transactional experience, including mergers and acquisitions, commercial contract negotiations, AIA construction contracts, and title and commercial loan documentation—allowing her to identify leverage early and prosecute or defend cases with precision.
A former in-house counsel to public and private companies, Ms. Thomas combines courtroom intensity with a sharp understanding of business risk. She is a Florida-licensed Mortgage Loan Originator and Title Agent. Ms. Thomas is a Coral Gables High alum and earned her J.D., with Honors, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. She is a former debater and high school debate coach.
